Dear Colleague,

I am delighted to personally invite you to the annual Government Opportunities lunch. The theme of this year’s lunch is change and the challenge it presents to all in public procurement, whether representing local or central government, health, education or indeed any other public sector organisation. I am pleased to announce our guest speakers are: David Smith, Dr Andrew Larner and Eric Jackson. Whilst a great deal of focus has been on the changes brought about by the e-revolution, there are many other more subtle factors spurring on a fundamental transformation of procurement, such as change brought about byproposed EU legislation, the potential of strategic partnerships, new commercial relationships with suppliers and partners and wider use across government of existing or new contracts to deliver improved value for money and much more. Collaboration and greater communication offer many benefits and the Government Opportunities annual lunch makes its small contribution by providing a congenial environment for discussion and knowledge acquisition between fellow professionals within a relaxed atmosphere. I do hope that you will accept our invitation to join your colleagues from throughout the public sector at this special event.

Yours sincerely,

Gillian Cameron,
Director Client Services
